(In the Claws of the Dragon by George Soulie de Morant

Considering that this book was published in 1921, why am I limited to downloading either of two proprietary encrypted files requiring me to have Adobe programs to read it?

I need a txt or hrml file for this book.Neither pdf nor epub will do.
Any help will be much appreciated.

that item is fully downloadable. there are no encrypted files in it.
