Hello I am looking to find old movies to use for commercial purposes such as creating my own streaming channel. I am new to this and hoping to meet some people who can help me in my journey of finding the Public Domain content that I can use.

Looking for all kinds of retro movies, action, adventure, kung fu/martial arts, horror, drama, adult, etc..

For today I would like to find out how can I figure out if a movie is Public Domain? I realize that the main rule is that if it was before 1923 then it is considered public domain but my problem is that I am seeking newer content mostly from the 80's so how can I make sure that the content would be public domain or not?
