This is my second time reading yet still quite refreshing. In my opinion, the second and the third book are the real deal of this trilogy. The first book also has its own uniqueness in it tho.

Slightly interesting for a while, then at about the midway point it just got...bad. I've heard a lot about it, that Obama read it, but honestly, I've got better things to do than finish a couple hundred pages of people screaming about how the human race has sinned and needs to be destroyed. Really? Even if the plot made sense, people don't act this way. It just felt dumb. Sigh. But at least it introduced me to some interesting physics.
